That aside, the features and interface make Mikrotik an enterprise product.

6.31 should be marked as withdrawn and not be downloadable anymore.
Then they will have to witdraw almost every version released.

After update to 6.25 could not connect to sstp server from W8.1 client.
Had to downgrade to 6.24 and sstp connection worked again.
Is there any changes in sstp also?

I just tested this in my lab. I can connect to RB493G with RoS 6.23 installed with wlan1 as physical port and wlan2 as virtual ap. I connected with my Samsung S2 running Androrid, no problems detected. I don't think this is a general issue.

This comes to my head immediatelly: RoS5 on RB2011 = random reboots, RoS6 is not something I would recommend for production. I agree with you otherwise, I just don't recommend CCR and RB2011.

Even cheaper devices with enough ports will work fine. Rb2011 or rb493 will be fine.
493G yes, RB2011 no. Every RB2011-xxx I've tried had some problem, I would stay away from it.

Upgraded 3 lab routers. RB 493G, X86 and RB411AR. Have RIP, OSPF, EOIP, PPPOE, PPTP services running. NO problems so far. I upgraded 411AR with autoupgrade feature, rest with manual file transfer. 1. I would at this time use 6.19, 623 RC looks promising also, but it's not a stable release yet
2. can you ping e.g 8.8.8.8?

yes the CPU is the bottleneck. 1100AHx2 would definetly perform much better. We have some rb 1100AHx2 here and they are all performing good! But I would stay far away from anything from Mikrotik that says Cloud Core something, it's like an expensive broken toy.

60% of our devices successfully updated to RoS6.22, rock solid for a week: rb333, rb411,rb433,rb600,rb750,crs and ccr. Remaining will be taken upcoming weekend.
