Same problem with a CCR1036-8G-2S+I have CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ go crazy with console crashes, script errors (action timed out) and more. Sadly even generating a support output file fails...
Opened issue SUP-125133.
Thank you for your report.
Which switches are used nowadays? Can you provide some model numbers?@anuser: thanks for the advice.
This high school has a 2012 HPE infrastructure and wants to upgrade the backbones to 10G. As a security appliance they have a Sonicwall NSA 2700.
Thanks professionals.
is not the competitor of the upcoming MikroTik cAP ax which will use IPQ60xx chipset. Current low cost competitors with the same chipset family nowadays would be:a cheap Belkin RT3200 and flashed it with OpenWrt.
https://forum.openwrt.org/t/support-for ... -ac2/23333 The port is also working on cAP ac.According to https://openwrt.org/inbox/toh/mikrotik/mikrotik_hap_ac OpenWRT firmware not supported for hAP AC2. How to install this firmware?
16 MB of ROM. Please MikroTik, not again. The router has IPQ4019 chipset, so with with 16 MB of ROM currently wifiwave2 driver package will no run on it...Thanks for the answer SiB
Looks like we won't have to wait Q2:
https://mikrotik.com/product/chateau_5g
;)
Well, with RouterOS 7, MikroTik uses binary drivers from the chipset´s vendor, no more selfmade 802.11 code. So, this problem should be solved in the future.Mikrotik drags a lot farther behind than that. What are we at... 6 years on incomplete wifi 5?
The big networking device vendors will release thei WiFi 6E access points in Q3/Q4 2021. So, it would be a chance for MIkroTik to go develop straight 802.11ax access points with 6 GHz support, aswell.Software is already cooking for WiFi6. You can see that in wifiwave2 package.
I was refering to this oneHere's the screen shot that matters...
Well, no. The new wireless package contains firmware and drivers for multiple 802.11ax chipsets. Take a look at the screenshots above.6 years behind?
No references at all to WiFi 6?
Yeah... It's called RouterOS!
Mikrotik´s RouterOS is like a Swiss knife. So many different tools.I'm using MT's for past 7 years. VPNs, OSPF, IKEv2, NV2, etc. So much in a box for $40? And a human console? MT is my choice.

v7.1beta4,,,]
When can we expect the next release of v7.1?
Which release do you use? Stable or snapshot? ar71xx or ath79 driver?With OpenWRT on wAP AC (original), I get ~ 350mbps single client TCP throughput at MCS-9, 2x2, 80 MHz, WPA3.
Thank you for the results.~500 Mbps download with 2x2 client very close to Chateau (no wifiwave2 for Chateau - not expensive enough I guess).
Is synchronization with Active Directory supported nowadays?feature request:
sync new users from Microsoft Active Directory or other standard LDAP protocols.(can add users with special profile if they belong to a user group in AD)
Do you have the possibility to do some iperf3 tests?I got in the 300s 4 feet away at the office since moving to 6.48.
Still 200M off the mark once you flip manufactures.
So, what iperf throughput do you get with 2x2:2 MIMO Up and down with 20, 40 and 80 MHz channels for 2.4 and 5.0 GHz? What access point are you refering to? TP-Link EAP620 or EAP660HD?Yeah TP-Link's Wifi 6 access points are released too and they are a beast.
Look at it from another perspective. If you look at MikroTik´s homepage: Do you find any sentences like: "Our access points support up to xxx clients per access point?" or "Our access points are perfect for your high density areas?" => No...mANTBox would also be that bad?
SInce 02/2019: https://blog.mikrotik.com/announcements ... graph.html ;-)But can you share WHEN?
Just tested on RB4011. (I cannot find any option for enabling or disabling those parameters at all). 802.11v and 802.11w is enabled with WPA2 PSK. I haven´t tried WPA2 Enterprise, yet.You're welcome, can you please check if 802.11k/v/r is available on v7.1b3?
Is there a seamless roaming supported by any chance?
No, it is not supported.802.11r/v/k
I don´t know about the modules folders, but most of those chipset folders could be abandoned I think:I don't thinks that's the case, it's merely a space issue. I would happily pay for an upgrade license too, if it were the case.
Please consider to make the new package compatible to current IPQ4018/IPQ4019 access points with 128MB RAM, e.g. cAP ac, hAP ac2, aswell.!) added new experimental wireless package "wifiwave2" for ARM devices with more than 256 MB of RAM (CLI only);
That would be the correct way. Take the wireless drivers from the linux kernel and put them into a second wireless packages. Afterwards change MikroTik ROS functionality to use it, not the other way round..
Maybe they should make alternative wireless packages (has happened before)
interesting bug fixes for our wireless clientsRouterOS version 6.47.6 has been released in public "stable" channel!
*) cap - fixed L2MTU path discovery;
*) wireless - fixed incorrect wireless capability information in association response frames;
Yes of course. I´m looking for the latest iPhone 12 which of course supports IEEE 802.11ax and MU-MIMO ;-)nearly off topic :) Did you watch yesterdays Apple presentation? LTE and 5G is the future there :)
Have you noticed any difference with RouterOS v7.1.x?They just don't keep up and the way they "give up" in noisy environments, doesn't get the job done.
https://shop.allnet.de => 14/10/2020Could you share the store name/web? I could not find anywhere, also not at eurodk as well.
Details, please.Need to see if there is WiFi problem resolved with hAP AC3. There was a big issues caused by ARM optimizations. Still not working as should be... Two years ago, and still not perfect software for ARM based devices.
We really need to get hAP ac2 into official OpenWrt branch...PD: I know I can just enjoy my OpenWRT powered ac2 and leave this forum but advanced routing features (like VLANs) are more polished on ROS.
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=153735&p=760146&hil ... an#p760146Which Bugs exactly in caps-man?RouterOS v6.46beta59 has fixes for wireless. Do they fix your performance problems with hap ac2?
(Not with CAPSMAN, this is full of bugs)
It depends what you need. Which products would you like to buy?Does MK have so many problems when used in big scale? Your experience?
Thanks for the built. Is there also WPA3 Enterprise available?Got WPA3 personal working
We are waiting for the usual stuff:Still waiting for something?Any update in wireless?
A recent openWRT built for hAP ac2 seems to work on cAP ac, tooThis firmware will also be ported to the cAP ac when the devs figure out a way to boot OpenWRT without a stripped down copy of U-Boot.
I´d be interested in benchmark results, aswell.I'm hoping to do some performance testing with OpenWRT on a wAP AC soon.
Well, let´s post some iperf3 results comparing ROS6 and thise ROS7 firmware, please.Updated HAP AC lite, great wireless performance. Hope for fast progress!

@ursy Could you please post your working configuration for your scenario?
No, I haven't had those problems so far.Does it worked for you?
I tried your solution using the same bridge horizons value on different CAPs but clients just connect once at a time. If I have a client connected on AP1 another client on AP2 is unable to connect.
Did you had the same problem?
NoHas this been implemented yet?
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B07TQKSQKH/Ahh your probably looking at the US Site but since you haven't provided a link and I cant find it on amazon.com at that price ???????????????????
On Amazon.com:Nice unit anuser but at more than double the price of the TP Link I noted, its too much $$.
1. normis isn´t a developer, either.Reinis is not a developer
source?NO, not in this year 100%does anyone know if MU-MIMO coming for Audience and RB4011 ?
Where did you hear about that special Broadcom compatibiliy firmware fix?The pending "Broadcom compatibility firmware fix"
Can the E430H really cope with higher amount of clients? e.g. 50 to 100 on 5 GHz? (It has the same IPQ4019 chipset as the MikroTik cAP ac...)and the they are not that expensiv.....
Hello Reinis, what is the current status of your MU-MIMO implementation?Most of the features are implemented, but MU-MIMO is WIP
What was actually the problem? What stability issues were resolved?Actually ARM and 802.11ac stability issues should be solved in the latest Betas (see changelogs)
Source:?Audience is just using CAPsMAN and link with other CAP-devices on the third wlan similar to repeater (bridge-ap/station-bridge).
It is not using WDS mesh or any specific mesh technology.
Will MU-MIMO be supported in V7 only or in V6, aswell?Yes, like I said, MU-MIMO is the only missing thing right now. Wave2, to my knowledge, doesn't have any other things RouterOS doesn't support already.
Shipping date for MikroTik wAP LoRa 8 kit (RBwAPR-2nD&R11e-LoRa8) is currently set to 11-08-2019 according to my distributor, so I guess LoRa is already available in RouterOS?What RouterOS version support LoRa ?
Some preview or screenshots of software ?
RouterOS 7 Beta is available for download: viewforum.php?f=1They don’t even think about ros 7,
What beta? Does the problem exist with v6.45.6?
Support mail from MT explained that the FW is still buggy and they send me a beta release.
How often/fast will 7.0beta versions be released? 1 every week/month?...should be fixed in further beta versions.
Have you enabled adaptive-noise-immunity on wireless interfaces, i.e. set it to "AP and Client mode"?I tried the same thing with AC client very closed and I could never exceed 25Mbps using 802.11 protocol.
Most of the features are implemented, but MU-MIMO is WIPWhat is the current status of wave 2 features in Mikrotik wireless drivers?
Any validity of the statement?Nothing changed
It looks like we´re seeing MU-MIMO soon? More chains...*) wireless - added 4 chain MCS support for 802.11n wireless protocol (CLI only);
