Frontal leds in hap AC2

Since hap ac2 lacks beeper I wanted to use the five frontal leds to show users when it was a problem but If I'm not mistaken there is no option in system/leds to contol them, Will be possible in a new release?

Beeper [SOLVED]

Why some mikrotiks, specially new models like hap AC2 have been made without beeper? In my opinion it's an error because it's the best way to inform users that something is wrong. Is it a room question or a cost question?

Thanks

Re: Tile CPU wiill be NOT in LINUX kernel, end CCR1036?

There's no problem, it was only removed now. So if they use latest available version for RouterOS v7, which is expected in early 202x by optimists, they're set for the life of the architecture. When the next RouterOS v8 comes in 203x, whole Tile will be already obsolete. Sorry, I had to. ;) Really ...

Scenario: You have a tcp dst-nat redirection, put for example typical 22 port to an internal machine The problem is when you try to edit the rule: If you edit the internal machine ip (in action tab) and you press "apply" the dst port of general tab dissapears!! And all follow rules stop to...

Re: CCR-1009 memory leaks

Actually there are not really convincing reasons to use SSTP because both parts are MK routers. We use them because they are layer 3, easy to configure and pretty secure. Now I have downgraded connections from AES to RC4 to see if it helps. I think I will follow your advice and we will move SSTP. Th...

Re: CCR-1009 memory leaks

I will do it this evening, because different offices use SSTP to connect to us. I will use PPTP during some days to see if SSTP is the problem and report it if it was the problem

As you can see, It has lost 7 mg in few hours

Exact, that was what has astonished me. We have several hapLite working uninterrupted for more than a year in a very heavy conditions for its hardware without any problem.
Maybe SSTP ? It's the first time we use a SSTP server, we normally used PPTP

CCR-1009 memory leaks

Hello We have several Mikrotiks working in production like a champ, but we have one CCR-1009 that has memory leaks. When we reboot it, it consumes almost 200mb, but each several minute it eats 1megabyte more until it only remains 90MB more or less (10% memory). Suddenly it recovers 500MB, as you can...

Re: RB3011 sold out in US - available anywhere else?

In Spain almost all cities have 300/300 for 60 euros, and big cities like Barcelona, Madrid etcetera already have 1Gb/1Gb. It's true, you can use fast track but for me is not the solution: We need Nat, QoS, different routes ... Unfortunately not so old routerboards can't manage this. I completely ag...

Re: RB3011 sold out in US - available anywhere else?

Sold out in spain and czech republic, I am starting to get really concerned because besides this one and core routers (too expensive, I prefer a regular pc) , all other mikrotiks are out of date, they are not able to manage a 300/300 fiber line imagine a 1Gigabit line

who can create *dynamic* DST-NAT rules?

Hi

This morning we have realized that four dynamic dst-nat rules have appeard in one of our mikrotiks. This rules are traslating 3128 port to our Lan.

My question: how can I know who has created this dynamic rule? who is the owner? who can create dynamic dst-nats?

Thanks

Yes ZeroByte, it's a good solution to put a comentary, but you always add an extra line and I think given that there are only three vars, it could be interesting to put another extra field. Nevertheless it's a good solution, thanks

Suggested new feature

I have a suggestion for a new feature, and I think it's easy to implement. It could be very interesting, at least for me, to have an extra field when you put an address to a Adress List . when you have 10 ip's you know they are your external officces, but you can't know which is each. Now OWn_Officc...

Thanks Normis for your quick answer. We tried it in a CCR1009-8G-1S without success too. is it the same problem? Because this mikrotik hasn't got any wifi.

In which mikrotik could we add another wifi interface?

Dlink TL-WN722N USB Dongle (Atheros AR9271)

Hello

We are trying to add another wifi to a RB951G. We have inserted an Dlink TL-WN722N USB Dongle with an atheros AR9271 chipset but mikrotik has not recognized it. What can we do ? In theory if its an atheros chipset it should work, isn't it?

Thanks a lot

Me too .. Mikrotik it's fantastic but has a big problem with wifi connections. My advice: buy a mikrotik that don't have wifi, and buy a Wiffi appliance appart, it's the best solution for two things: 1) wifi change more than routing 2) wifi in mikrotik don't work very smooth
