Re: Uptime rollover bug/SNMP

Hello, We created a solution that works for us as a workaround to the counters being 32bit. This involved using a script and while I would not recommend making this available to devices where SNMP has not been restricted, the script is below. This will produce an uptime that is accurate to 5 seconds...

CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ and filter rules and performance

Hello everyone, I have a question about performance based on the test results on the mikrotik hardware site. The performance of the CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ listed with no filter rules and then with 25 filter rules for both routing and for bridging is huge. My question is how does a filter rule that just...

Re: Uptime rollover bug/SNMP

This whole issue with the uptime and 32bit counters can be resolved without using 64 bit counters. The issue is that timetick are used which rolls over the counters at 497 days. You can resolve this if you setup a counter that is 32bit but seconds instead of timeticks. Most hardware manufactures hav...

Re: CCR + vlan trunk

Hello everyone. I am having difficulties with Vlans as it pertains to a CCR1036, EoIP tunnel, Trunk ethernet port and an RB3011. Here is what we are trying to do. Create a VLAN trunk from a remote office that has an RB3011 that will hand off a single port trunking 8 vlans on it, to an CCR1036. The C...

CCR1036-8G-2S+EM performance with 40+ EoIP tunnels

Hello everyone, I am in the decision making process for purchasing a router that we can use to terminate 40+ EoIP tunnels on from various sites. Bandwidth on the tunnels would be anywhere from 10Mbps to 250Mbps per site during their peak usage. So my question is, will the CCR1036 be sufficient to ha...

Copper SFP S-RJ01 and CCR-1016-12S-1S+ not working together

Hello All, So I have a couple CCR-1016-12S-1S+ switches in service and they seem to work fine using the S-RJ01 Mikrotik branded copper SFPs. However, I went to swap out one of these switches with one brand new in the box and used the Copper SFP that Mikrotik supplied with it and it will not work. No...

Re: MTU issues with an EoIP tunnel connected.

The tunnel is part of the "LAN" bridge network. All internet traffic is going out ether9 and the LAN (ether2) and tunnel are on bridge1. So not sure why the traffic in/out ether9 would get impacted. The bridge MTU is not changeable and is "actual MTU 1500" and "L2 MTU 1520&q...

MTU issues with an EoIP tunnel connected.

Hello everyone, We have an issue that has me a bit stumped at 2 sites out of 16. These sites are running 6.36 and 6.38. All others sites are running 5.x and work just fine. All these sites are using RB493G and have their own fiber internet connections. We have an CRS125-24G-1S that is used to to lan...

EoIP tunnel of 5 VLANs. DHCP not working on 1 vlan.

Hello, Not sure this is the right place to post this, but I have an issue whereby I am trunking 5 VLANs from one location to another via an EoIP tunnel. Below is the setup. Cisco ASA ---VLANs 10,20,30,40 & 103---Mikrotik CRS1----EoIP tunnel on dedicated link----Mikrotik CRS2----VLANs 10,20,30,40...

CRS226-24G-2S+ and MRTG

Hello, I recently setup a couple of CRS226-24G-2S+ switches and when I try to get MRTG setup to poll them, it only creates configs that have interfaces with Link on them, but excludes the SFPPLUS1 port. I have specified that there are no downed ports in the MRTG config maker as I have with all our o...
