Re: Possible bug in RouterOS's SSH server

Hi ners,
Mikrotik guys checks the forum quite often but your request can get lost due to high number of posts.
I strongly suggest you to send an email to support@mikrotik.com with your issue so it can get the correct attention.

Re: Adding a AP repeater at clients location

neoknet,
go to Routing --> OSPF, under the tab networks remove the network 192.168.200.0/24
If you don't have it please post the output of the command
/export hide-sensitive
and I will have a look.

Re: Streaming data by wifi

valdemirs, from the output you sent me your router is able to create a total throughput of ~ 80Mbit (53Mbit towards your laptop and 26Mbit from your laptop to your router) therefore the wireless configuration is ok. Now question is how the stb communicate with your PC? if it uses wireless you will h...

Re: CCR Mikrotik Routing between two subnet in one interface

Hi Ucom, it looks like a 100% cpu utilization issue, you need to setup master port to enable the switch chip to do wire speed switching. To do that just select ether2 port as the master which will act as Layer 3 and set all the others (client 1, client2, fileserver) as slave then test the stuff agai...

Re: 802.11AC Requires more rates than we support

Hi BinaryPaws, if the client doesn't associate means that it cannot negotiate the same BASIC RATES, therefore check what you have checked in WinBox, ask your ISP what they have on the other side and match them. Once the AP will connect you can check SUPPORTED RATES to avoid rate flapping, anyway I r...

Re: Internet Bandwidth lost behind CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD

Hi Thomas,
1st of all CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD is a switch and not a router :-)
Beside this it looks like a 100% cpu utilization issue, how are the port configured? Are they bridged or are you using the master port (aka the switch chip)?
Also posting an /export hide-sensitive can help me with further debug.

Re: Recursive routing issue

Hi IbraR, recursive routing is used to check what's behind your first hop, not to jump it, therefore your packets are travelling from your LAN through the CISCO router and if it doesn't have the default route it will always drop the packet because it doesn't know where to forward it. IMHO the only w...

Re: Wireless problem - Noobie, help please

Hi MadaraCZech, It's not clear if you tried to ping google from the pc or from the Mikrotik. if from the Mikrotik board it doesn't work then: #1: check if the default route (0.0.0.0/0) is present #2: ping 8.8.8.8 if works go to step #4 if not go to next step #3: Check nat configuration on the Mikrot...

Hi EzeCba, pppoe is by itself an authentication protocol therefore having it without authentication is a non-sense. Re: Unable to extract user manager package version 6.12

Hi usmanahmed,
usermanager is not installed by default, you need to donwload the "all packages" zip file for tile architecture, extract it and move the user-manager package into your router, after reboot you will find the user-manager installed.

Re: Adding a AP repeater at clients location

Hi neoknet,
you have 2 solutions here:
#1: use OSPF route filters to filter outbound route advertisments
#2: remove the network 192.168.200.0/24 from the advertised networks in the OSPF

I would personally go for the solution #2 which is the easiest and cleanest way.

Re: Streaming data by wifi

valdemirs, Interferences can be a problem but if signal is very low (below -90dbm) it's not a big deal, if it's strong (above -90dbm) then you need to avoid at least 3 frequencies around it. If we will not able to find any suitable channel then we need to change the band (e.g. move to 5Ghz), change ...

Try to download Btest from Mikrotik download page and run a TCP test to ensure that issue is outside our wireless config.

Re: Firewall rules for LAN PCs connected to external switch

Hi AlAraf, it really depends on external cisco switch model and RouterBOARD model, if the switch supports VLAN you can group PCs together, assign a VLAN and trunk the traffic to the RouterBOARD. The RouterBOARD will then have vlan interfaces where you can apply firewall rules. Type of RouterBOARD wi...
