RouterOS version 6.47 has been released in public "stable" channel! ... *) wireless - fixed Nstreme wireless protocol performance decrease; ... Does anybody knows when this decrease was introduced? We have two links with 6.45.9, 802.11ac, dual chain, -48, 20/40/80, CCQ around 100% and we ...

Re: v6.47rc [testing] is released!

*) wireless - fixed Nstreme wireless protocol performance decrease; Not all Microtik devices are affected with this problem. As far I know problem was with LHG5 ac version. Issue was with data throughput speed which was around 100mbs even if link could do much better than that. (in my case around 1...

Re: Increasing percentage of bad-blocks

I have similar problems with my Groove 52HPn one month ago. Groove had just 0.1% bad blocks and he worked ok but when I restated him I could not access Groove anymore from network side or from WIFI side. I guess OS in Groove become corrupted in some way. After restart I could see on the switch that ...

Re: Qos with variable bandwidth.

Well, when I would get tasked with solving this problem, I would not use speed test but I would try to get some monitoring of the IPTV stream (is there a continuous stream or does it stutter?), or I would setup a ping to the IPTV server and monitor its RTT, and then I would try to control the queue...

Re: Qos with variable bandwidth.

Unfortunately ISP and my IPTV are totally different companies, so no help from there. Well from my point from view I could limit http and P2P download and then IPTV will work fine but again problem is variable internet speed. Example, P2P at 20Mbs and IPTV will have 10Mbs .... Like this I would prob...

Re: Qos with variable bandwidth.

Thanks for response. Let me explain my case. I am connection with internet by ADSL, pppoe connection is done by mikrotik. Modem connection is always constant no change there. My internet provider is unable to provide speed which I have paid for. So I paid 50Mbs / 2Mbs but I have 30-43Mbs / 2Mbs, tha...

Re: Qos with variable bandwidth.

I had a similar question some time ago, no one helped me. After some reading I got conclusion that it's not possible with mikrotik because mikrotik needs to implement absolute packet order by priority, then will work.

Re: VOIP QOS

It is actually possible to design a network on which QoS is not really possible and VoIP will never work reliably. Be careful not to do that! In the meantime, make sure your VoIP traffic is DSCP EF (46) and all equipment along the link is handling that. (e.g. enable WiFi multimedia support when req...

Re: VOIP QOS

It helps when you set the maximum bitrate just below the actual maximum of your link, but that is difficult when it is not a fixed maximum rate but it is in fact varying. DSCP marking will still help when you send traffic over a WiFi link. Does anyone have idea how to make it work when internet con...

I have setup mangle rules for download and upload and Queue tree for my network. Qos is not working correctly in my case. Well problem is that I have no stable internet speed, sometimes is 35Mb and sometimes is 25Mb and sometimes is somewhere in the middle. So I cant set correct max-limit value in Q...

Re: ptp problem with groove 52hpn

After some investigation, we found out that mobile phone tower which is right in the path of p2p link is making problems with groove which have poor reception. Problem is as groove have very wide LNA filter. So even as groove is set work on 2.4Ghz, LNA filter is working also at 5Hhz to. Mobile tower...

ptp problem with groove 52hpn

I have 2pcs of groove 52hpn which I got for simple ptp link. Problem is at the site1 where SNR from site2 is pulsing (20-35dB). Site2 is receiving site1 with out any problem SNR 38-40dB. I tired everything, swapping groove's, swapping antennas from site1 to site2, no change. Antennas are 2pcs of Hyp...
