Re: Strange WAN behavior of RB750Gr2 hEX

I mean no one? :( I was doing my export from all important sections , steb-by-step to import to my second , older, mikrotik (RB750GL) and during that process I looked to IP/ARP. And delete just in case the APR entry of my ISP gateway, because it was with D flag (dynamic) I figure it out that after ...

Re: Remote access by winbox anywhere

also enable ip cloud so you have a free dynamic dns service from mikrotik. (if u dont have static ip of course ) Wow, I didn't know that mikrotik has such a service avalaible :) So there's a lot of possibility. But the best is VPN or you can use Knock Port Rule in firewall. And then you will be abl...

Re: Protect rule

About that firewall port scanning rules in MT. I Saw few posts from the past year and people did notice that none of those tutorials describing rule examples works. And I checked few of them for example this one http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Drop_port_scanners (because is more complicate ;) ) and it...

Re: Possible SYN DDOS Attack

Are you sure you didn't turn on web proxy and are running an open proxy? That level of traffic is not enough to be considered a DDOS, something else has to explain the high CPU. Check your WAN throughput (in both mbps and PPS). Web proxy is disabled. But still got those traffic coming in. I checked...

Re: SOLVED - L2TP IPSEC stoped working after Upgrade to 6.18

I can add that I've been using the same example for setting ip ipsec peer set 0 policy-template-group=*FFFFFFFF failure: can not change dynamic peer But Like you all see I got failure with message above. Reason for this was obvious. In new MikroTik (mine is RB750Gr2 / hEX) when adding L2TP you can c...

Strange WAN behavior of RB750Gr2 hEX

So from couple of weeks I noticed strange behavior which on the beginning I started to think that's the problem with my ISP. I called them couple of times. And they said that nothing occurs wrong on their side. I have two devices connected : ISP Router - http://routerboard.com/RB750Gr2" / Mikro...

20 ;;; 0:0 and limit for 5pac/s | Echo replay chain=ICMP action=drop protocol=icmp icmp-options=0:0 limit=5,5 If you see I have droped number 20 which is the echo replay. I don't replay on pings at all. When I put command 20 in to firewall it blocks internet access, which by the way is what I have ...

Possible SYN DDOS Attack

Hey, My router is 750GL and from monday (05/10/2015) , behind him is Thompson router from my ISP provider which should be in bridge mode. Said 'should' because on MTR test I see strange IP behind my mikrotik but I will explain it later. Now to the point -I'm struggling with @Net problems. Symptoms a...
