Re: ROS 6.38 serious DHCP server problem

Same problem here with 6.48.3.
DDWRT Client Bridge results in 'offered' DHCP lease, and the offer repeats every 30 seconds not assigning the IP.

Re: Problems using AX8817X based USB-Ethernet adapters

MikroTik have enough small and cheap APs that you can use without such an external USB ethernet adapter. E.g. when you want a mAP 2n with one more ethernet port, take a look at the hAP lite. This is not an option, I do have 3x 951`s, 2011 and recently bought ac^2. Ac^2 have only 5 ports, all of the...

Re: Problems using AX8817X based USB-Ethernet adapters

Ok, finally got the ETH adapter, I have ordered 772B chipset, and got RTL8152B. Refund already processing. Now I got laying RTL8152B and AX88179 adapters, which are not compatible to mikrotik. Re: Problems using AX8817X based USB-Ethernet adapters

Thank you for your response, already bought one from ali for tests: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32826262604.html

For Serial/MAC, 772B chips store this data in external EEPROM, which can be reprogrammed to whatever values, Chinese manufacturers perhaps just implement local serials.

Re: Problems using AX8817X based USB-Ethernet adapters

Hello, since no response in this thread, I will bump it. I do have AX88179 based dongle, and I confirm it does not work, however it's detected correctly in RB951G, nothing shows up in interfaces list: https://i.gyazo.com/d241a0ec0249f127088c469511e80d86.png Is there any chance it will be supported ?

Re: NTFS support

Thank you for your reply. Currently SMB service if used for uploading the files (it may be FTP, doesn't matter actually). It works fine, however restoring big backup file takes ages (100+gb file), and just disconnecting the drive and accessing the file directly on windows PC is not available, becaus...

NTFS support

Hello, I am managing to set up an backup drive to mikrotik router (RB951-2HnD) and an issue appeared. I am not sure why the only accepted filesystems are fat32 and ext3. Both of those are not acceptable: fat32 does not support files larger than 4gb, which would cause millions of files to be created ...
