Re: RB600 is killing Prism 200nW (2511) cards

what symptoms has the RB600 when it is running Prism card?
Does it reboots, looses clients or stops forwaring traffic to prism clients?

goes blind: does not see anything, and as AP it is unseen by clients

Re: RB600 is killing Prism 200nW (2511) cards

Hello! Thanks for the replies. The fact is, that the prism 2511 was working for 1,5 years in RB532. Now, that the new RB600 came out, we have decided to replace. After replacement, the Prism was OK for 1 week. We put a new one in, which was also prefect for about 1 week. Now the R52 is in, works wel...

RB600 is killing Prism 200nW (2511) cards

Hello Everyone! We have this sad experience, that Our RB600 (with the RB604 extension) is killink Our Prism 2511 cards. This is the "only" card which is suitable under omni antenna, and works in stormy environment (lighting and noise kills other cards, but this). Any experience with this c...

Re: RB333 KERNEL CRASH

Oh yes, jonbrewer, we are also waiting for the solution.

The only difference is that Our R52H cards came dead after 1-2 days. R52 instead is a good solution. What we do right now is: the watchdog pings the other side on both routers, of no reply, reboot.

We have average 2-4 days uptime maximum.

Re: RC9 performance

Hi!

RC8 looks quite good long-distance 5Ghz links. Still problems with 2,4Ghz AP mode (RB333).

Since this RC8 works OK, I've decided no RC9 upgrade right now. Waiting for more experience.

I power up one of my RB333 with RC9, and test it. I came back with results.

Re: RB333 KERNEL CRASH

Hi All! A possible solution-like setup, we've found out with Uldis: When You set up watchdog to ping the 2 routers each-other, the router stays stable for at least 12-14 hours (sometimes there is a random reboot). The only remaining questions is: without NStreme, why the ping in over 1000ms when the...

Re: High traffic causes Nstreme Dual to drop - RB333 XR5 RC3.0

Hello Thom!

I have the same issue, but also with SIMPLE NSTREME.

Disabling nstreme: 300-800ms pings
enabling nstreme: disconnects on high throughput, and some random times

no solution right now, I guess sw bug.

Re: RB333 KERNEL CRASH

hmm.....

The link stays still but 0,0 throughput. Ping is not possible.

Now the routers are in "test-only" state, so until the failure is solved, we took out every RB333 from service.

Thanks in advance for ideas

RB333 KERNEL CRASH

Hello All! I hope, everything goes well everywhere ;) My someone help pls: I was so brave, to put our new RB333 to CORE ROUTER for a test period (75m UTP, 24VDC, 1,2A - on top RB measures 23V). What I see, that the wireless link freezes in every 4-5 hours. The link is there, ping no possible. Card d...

RB153

Hello Everybody! We are using only 2 RB153 (with 3 cards, 1 CM9, 1 R52, 1 Senao 2511), and from upgrading the sw version to 2.9.46 (and also upgrading the firmware on terminal) we issue a continuous problem: the board is rebooting in every 3-8 minutes. 18V DC POE (5m LAN cable). We have replaced thi...

Use TMZ server to share the time/date data, and a small script can sincronize them with the RB family

None of the RB keep the time/date information after reboot

Customer "traffic" information

Hello All! Do You know, right now which is the ideal tool for logging, which wireless (or cabled) customer visited which site on the subject-month? There was another rule just before this dst-nat.

It was my mistake.

Connection tracking has to be enabled on the router.
Make sure there are not any other NAT rules before this one.
Yes, It is on - and it works now!

Thanks for the help!

For some reason, this code below does not direct the SELECTED client to the right address. chain=dstnat src-address=192.168.121.37/32 protocol=tcp dst-port=80 action=dst-nat to-addresses=80.64.x.y to-ports=81 It should be ok, or? I've tested the example above, and 18 of 18 of my routers (mainly RB532 and 112), and it seems working as follow: - the packets are dropped correctly (max. f.e. 20 connections) - after 3-4 days the complete connection is dropped. It means that f.re. there is no DNS service available for the ...

mipland! In Your case I would think in a PC instead of the RB112 or RB532. The RB series are an excellent and almost perfect boards for supporting not more than 20 end-users, but is You need a high bandwith, You may use a P4 PC with at least 2Ghz and 512Mb of RAM. If anybody does not agree, I accept...

Test setup, with result:

2xRB532 (each with 2*CM9 card; 5200 and 5280Mhz)
(signal strength=68, 36Mbit connect speed; STN=28, TX=Card/23dbi)
4xGrante 60cm

app. 21km distance, clear visible conditions,

14-14,5Mbit average bandwith (65-78% of CPU usage)

Yes, active link for 1,5 weeks now.

Dear MIPland!

As You may know, the CPU power of the RB112 is much lower. Your 20Mbit/s 's gonna be much lower, when "active data" is present.

IT's not gonna be higher than app. 3-3,5Mbit
