Re: Number of ether interfaces ? [SOLVED]

The first two have switch chips so traffic between devices in the network are switched and do not enter the CPU unless it is router traffic to the outside. The hEX S is ............ I have two but never got it switching directly. I happens all in CPU/Bridge and the SPF reduces the overall speed of ...

@msatter: Thanks. hAP ac² and hAP ac are shared. But hEX S is unclear to me but I assume it's shared too. I will try to find the schematics for other boards.

Number of ether interfaces ? [SOLVED]

Greetings, I'm currently taking a look at these devices : - hAP ac² - hAP ac - hEX S - Chateau LTE12 Specification says: 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports 5 But I'm confused, is it 5 Ethernet ports sharing the same NIC ? Or is it 5 different NIC ? I'm looking for a router with at least 4 ether interfaces. ...

1. Username/Password will be the same as your acc which you use to access the server host. The Dude now uses ROS AAA.At the moment there is no web interface for The Dude sever. 1. Aw, I see, it's working now, thanks. Wiki just need an update. 2. That's what I thought, but I get a login page at http...

Re: Weird 129.0.0.x IPs ?

Why don't you post the entire captured frame? Privacy issue :? Not my decision unfortunately. Now that we have more traffic on the router, the problem seems obviously related to bad UDP frames : https://src386.org/jirafeau/f.php?h=1Gl71wDy&p=1 This is SIP traffic generated by SBC appliances (Se...

Weird 129.0.0.x IPs ?

Hello everyone, Sniffing the trafic with sniffer on my CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ I can see some weird IPs : 129.0.0.10 129.0.0.20 129.0.0.30 129.0.0.40 Why Weird ? Because of the end numbers (too perfects to be real IPs) and because of the fact that the device (CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+) is behind a strict gateway ...

Dude Server : OK, Dude Agent : KO

Hello everyone, I have a CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ running RouterOS 6.35.2 and The Dude 6.35.2. I am able to connect my Dude client directly to this Dude server, which is good. However, I don't want to store all Dude data on that router, so I have installed a Virtual Machine with the VMDK image and a dude i...

Re: Tx & Rx rate via SNMP ?

I just found something interesting here : https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27845 There is a builtin calculation for speed in the Zabbix item. According to documentation : Store value -> Delta (speed per second) - evaluate value as (value-prev_value)/(time-prev_time) This is exactly what...

Re: Tx & Rx rate via SNMP ?

TX and RX are bytes-in and bytes-out. What typically happens is the SNMP server polls the device a number of times for these OID's and since it knows the difference in time between these two polls, it uses the difference between the numbers received to calculate the bandwidth for that time slice. O...

[SOLVED] VRRP with VLAN ?

Re: BGP : force gateway

Redistribution is a bad habit to get into when you're just learning routing protocols. It definitely has its place, but the protocols handle redistributed routes differently than natively originated routes. (true for OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and I'm sure IS-IS and RIP) I recommend that you originiate the ...

Re: BGP : force gateway

Ok, the answer is here : http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:BG ... ng_Filters
On R2, just add filters on the R1-link1 peer to discard anything except Network1. On R1-link2 discard anything except Network2. That was simple :)

Optimal failover for dual homing ?

Hi everyone, I need to connect my LAN with a remote LAN. BGP is needed because there are many networks so static routing would be complicated. But no peering. We need failover so each side has 2 routers, linked with a dedicated fiber to the other side. Iif a fiber link goes down, traffic must be for...
