Re: Web Server on ROS X86

On Windows the Dude was at the same time server and client. So it was able to render the map and to show it trough WEB. But now the server is only database (I suppose) and the client application is responsible for rendering the image of the map (and all interface). So it is impossible (for now) to h...

Re: dynDNS SCRIPT THAT WORKS

If you are behind NAT, that means your WAN interface has PRIVATE IP address. That causes this complicate scripts to not work, because they depend on address, assigned directly to your port. You need to update your dynamic hostname with your PUBLIC address. According to DynDNS guide the syntax of the...

@krisjanis

Thanks for your reply!
I found the cause of the problem - I had a bad masquerade rule on the central point.

Re: NTP Server must be saved as domain name (and resolved every time sync performed)

This is a change in functionality for the NTP server. The reference ntpd that is probably used inside RouterOS traditionally did not allow this, so probably the used version is still from that time. DNS names were supported but were only resolved at startup time and never later during operation. Th...

Re: NTP Server must be saved as domain name (and resolved every time sync performed)

Sure, but the NTP server does not support selecting servers by name and neither does it support resolving DNS on every poll. That is because an NTP server tries to lock the clock as closely as possible to an external reference, and that is not possible when the reference changes all the time. For S...

Re: HP Laserjet 2420n OID for Toner usage

Try what number returns oid("1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.9.1.1") itself. As I know if it returns negative number (-2 or -3), that means you are using not original toner (refurbished, refiled etc.) and thus you can't see the actual toner level. For my printers I use following function (called &qu...

Re: The Dude, work continues: v6.35rc test builds.

Hi all, I noticed an issue with the syslog: Devices didn't appear with their source addresses. Instead, they are presented with the IP address of the router's interface in the same network with the Dude server. To be more clear, I have multiple IP addresses on the "LAN" interface of the ro...
