Re: v7.13beta [testing] is released!

@strods or @normis Is there any hope that the restrictions regarding the VLAN ID in dynamic interfaces will be lifted in the AC driver? (802.11ac chipsets do not support this type of VLAN tagging , but they can be configured as VLAN access ports in bridge settings.) I have currently solved this in m...

Re: Nasty issue with MAC address stuck on CRS504 with RoS >= 7.7

Hello all, I unfortunately have similar experience and have opened tickets with support: SUP-111471 and SUP-107382. Unfortunately, the experience with M-LAG on Mikrotik has been disastrous so far, although we use MC-Lags with other manufacturers (IBM/Lenovo/FS) without any problems. The exchange of ...

Re: v7.7beta [testing] is released!

Unfortunately, it's not possible to run both types of CAPsMAN on the same device. For a configuration example, please see: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/WifiWave2#WifiWave2-CAPsMAN-CAPconfigurationexample: @Guntis Can I ask you to extend the example to how local offloading of different...

Re: v7.7beta [testing] is released!

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that it will change.
Okay, that leaves the simultaneous operation of the new and old cAPsMan each taking care of their cAPs. Do both systems interfere with each other in the same Layer2?

Re: v7.7beta [testing] is released!

Yes, WifiWave2 CAPsMAN can only manage WifiWave2 interfaces, and WifiWave2 interfaces can only be managed by WifiWave2 CAPsMAN.
Will that change in the future to have a flexible upgrade path? I think many of our customers would like to successively replace their cAPs.

Re: v7.7beta [testing] is released!

Thank you very much for the documentation. The question is still open if a wifiwave2 cAP can work on an old cAPsMan. Does not work for me with the following configuration: /interface wifiwave2 add configuration.manager=capsman .mode=ap disabled=no add configuration.manager=capsman .mode=ap disabled=...

Re: v7.7beta [testing] is released!

Is it not possible to run a Wifiwave2 cAP on an existing cAPsMan? I just tried this, but could not specify "interfaces" on the CLI under /interfaces/wifiwave2/cap/. Are the controllers compatible at all?

Re: CRS3xx MC-LAG in RouterOS 7

We are researching ways how to implement MC-LAG
Our setups are massively based on MC-LAGs (or vLAGs at IBM/Lenovo). Can't wait for MC tags to be supported.

I don't speak Russian but I take it that the beta is now available? mt.lv/v7 ? Yes, only for ARM architecture and only for hap ac^2 and WAPGR LTE/4G/LTE-US testing, to get v7 ready for upcoming 5G products, according to Sergejs. support for remaining boards will gradually come out it has v6.45.5 fe...

Boris, did you read the first post in this thread? Did you read the blog entry? https://blog.mikrotik.com/security/winbox-vulnerability.html Hello Normis, I think I have read and understood all available information. Nevertheless, heise.de reports as if the security fix by mikrotik is at least ques...

Re: Winbox vulnerability: please upgrade

Currently heise.de writes about attacks on Mikrotik-Devices. Maybe you can correct something on the part of Mikrotik, because the news does not sound good. https://www.heise.de/security/meldung/Spionage-und-Krypto-Mining-MikroTik-Router-angreifbar-4155288.html They refer to the following security au...

Re: Feature Request - LAC/LNS functionality

Dear Mikrotik, we are still searching for a way to replace our Cisco Dial-In VRF setups. It would be great if the following LAC feature could be implemented: 1. Create a new L2TP endpoint / LNS 2. Radius attribute to forward PPP sessions to this other endpoint. Under mpd this is possible after my re...

Re: Feature Request - LAC/LNS functionality

Hello all, today we switched some SHDSL, WLL and Leasedlines (QSC AG Germany LACs) from our Cisco to Mikrotik CHR LNS. The speed is excellent in comparison! We also miss the possibility to terminate some accounts in a VRF. So the Ciscos unfortunately can not retire. We also don't see the 10mbit Limi...

Re: v6.35rc [release candidate] is released, new wireless package!

Thank for the hint yottabit, but it doesn´t work.

It says: Can´t uninstall bundled packages (wireless-cm2 / wireless-fp). Also System-Recources tells me that 40MB RAM are free. It´s only a small CAP i´m testing.

Re: v6.35rc [release candidate] is released, new wireless package!

I´ve tried to upgrade my "hap lite" (smips) from rc21 with wireless-rep to rc25 via winbox: System -> Packages.

This doesn´t work with the following error:

ERROR: not enough disk space, 7.7MiB is required and only 7.1 MiB is free.
