SFP modules on CRS devices

Hi, having already read other posts about SFP modules on CRS like the following CRS sfp woe's SFP port status I just wanted to share another experiences on CRS326-24G-2S+ (currently RouterOS v7.7) with copper SFP RJ45 modules, maybe someone finds it interesting. Ordered the S+RJ10 module from Mikrot...

Re: CRS326 24G - 4 NICs bonded but only 2 GBit speed

After much searching on this topic I guess it is some misunderstanding on my side. As described here: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Layer2+misconfiguration#Layer2misconfiguration-LAGinterfacesandloadbalancing Configuration The following configuration is relevant to SW1 and SW2: /interfa...

Re: CRS326 24G - 4 NICs bonded but only 2 GBit speed

Could please anyone confirm or disprove?
I'm not sure if this is usual behaviour of this device because of some limitation or if it is capable for more and I just have some configuration "issue".
Or maybe I just misunderstand something obvious here?
Thank you

CRS326 24G - 4 NICs bonded but only 2 GBit speed

Hi, I've got a Proxmox cluster out of 3x Dell servers which have 4 ports each. Using the CRS326 I am in the hope to utilize hardware offloading and bonding to use most possible bandwith for a shared ceph file system across the 3 servers. So I connect all 4 ports of every server to the CRS326-24G-2S+...

Re: v7.1rc3 adds Docker (TM) compatible container support

@jult: Just an FYI for people running PPC devices, like the RB850Gx2 and similar, the docker sadly is not available for you.. Found that out, crushing my hopes of running pihole on a MT router. I do not have a PPC device to test but I can not confirm. The container package is available in 7.1rc4 for...

Re: v7.1rc3 adds Docker (TM) compatible container support

Hi, if someone is interested, I built containers for OLSRd V1 and OLSRd V2 . I posted it on the FunkFeuer forum (german) . All containers as also experienced information about it with used commands and scripts to properly start the containers after reboot is also mentioned. Thanks for this awesome f...

Re: v7.1rc3 adds Docker (TM) compatible container support

is it on purpose, that there is no container package for SMIPS architecture or was it just forgotten?
on all architectures i can find the container package in the all_packages-*-7.1rc4.zip file but not for SMIPS ?

Re: v7.1rc3 adds Docker (TM) compatible container support

First I was using openwrt images (mips_24kc-21.02.0 tag on https://hub.docker.com/r/openwrtorg/rootfs) . However, I suspect something about their init system is causing the 100% cpu usage. Now I'm rolling my own images based on openwrt but without their init system. sorry, i overlooked that comment...

EDIT: Thank you so much, finally a bit of hint of logging. Re: v7.1rc3 adds Docker (TM) compatible container support

I've managed to get containers on MIPSBE working with 7.1rc4, however when the container is running, cpu usage is pinned at 100% despite all the processes inside the container sitting pretty much idle what container(s) did you try? im looking for some working mipsbe images as examples. or how would...

interface ethernet poe power-cycle does not work?

Recently I updated routeros to 6.44.2 on all my rb960-pgs and after some days my monitoring tells one of those routers can't reach attached poe-devices, so i wanted to power-cycle them, but noticed that function does not work. I believe it worked in some version in the past, but I don't recall which...

Re: RB as serial console

well, i didnt have problems finding serial usb converter cables with enough description to know which chipset is used. the problem was rather, that nearly all of them are prolific based. then i even noticed, the reason why original prolific drivers dont work and i have to use "prolific-compatib...

Re: RB as serial console

thanks very much for the hint! i replaced the prolific chipset cable for a ftdi chipset based cable as you recommended and now the issue is gone. guess this is some important information that should be noted in the wiki, that prolific chipsets are that sensible and its better to use ftdi. without th...

Re: RB as serial console

(sorry posting to this old thread but its the most apropriate one i found) for me the mentioned prolific usb-rs232 converter basically works great too. one problem i noticed, it somehow "freezes" after some time when no data is sent or received. i connect via ssh to rb and then just /syste...

we had this problem too with ros 6.43.4, but it was on just two links in our network where one connects over ubnt airmax and the other over mikrotik lhg. interesting is the fact that we use mpls and it looks like ospf has problems, we noticed, mpls ips are not reachable when this error happens, but ...

ive got the same issue, not able to see hosts. (see also http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=48874 ) after looking at http://192.168.88.1/!dhost.b i guess it could be some bridge loop or similar. i get this output: [{adr:'44d9e7ff7191',prt:0x02,drp:0x00,mir:0x00,sts:0x07,vid:0x01dc},{...

ive got this problem too with RB260G and v1.16. but its not latency issues for me, i guess its some (bridge-?)loop or similar. ping is fine. i do use vlans. looking at http://192.168.88.1/!dhost.b it shows about 100 lines of the following: [{adr:'44d9e7ff7191',prt:0x02,drp:0x00,mir:0x00,sts:0x07,vid...
