Re: FQ_Codel and Mikrotik CCR CPU Utilization

Thank you for the detailed explanation. You are right! I will implement and check what impact it has on the CPU. I read your post and my my, what a gem of information it is. Ill test it out and share results as well. I have 15.2 GB memory free on the CCR so I think wont be needing to change memlimi...

FQ_Codel and Mikrotik CCR CPU Utilization

Hi Guys, Ive recently upgraded one of my CCR1036-2S+ to version 7 which is being used as a router for my clients. Im performing traffic policy on it using simple queues (Majority CIR Connections) for each customer. Approx. have 350-400 simple queues on it. Ive tested fq_codel for simple queues to co...

Re: BW Limit of more than 4200 Mbps CCR1072

Just to update, talked to Mikrotik support and the guy there gave an excellent suggestion which was to use firewall to restrict traffic. Used the below mentioned command: /ip firewall filter add action=drop chain=forward out-interface=ether1 limit=!1G,100M:bit "This simple firewall filter rule ...

Re: BW Limit of more than 4200 Mbps CCR1072

I havent been able to achieve 4200 Mbps on the CCR for the customer. Though the CCR accepts the value of 4200M but once the queue is enabled, the traffic is choked at 500 Mbps. Further to add, yes i have NX3k on which the customer is terminated but the NX3K can apply traffic police on physical inte...

Re: BW Limit of more than 4200 Mbps CCR1072

but once the queue is enabled, the traffic is choked at 500 Mbps. This makes more sense. You have 72 cores, but the queue will limit _all_ the customer traffic to a single core therefore you will not be able to control the bandwidth to this customer using this tool. Simple-queues are software-queue...

BW Limit of more than 4200 Mbps CCR1072

Hi, We have a CCR1072 which is acting as edge router for providing internet services to customers. We have recently taken on board a customer whose BW requirement is of 5000 Mbps. I was trying to implement this download limit via PCQ and simple queue but when we enter the value of more than 4200 Mbp...

Re: Mikrotik CCR 1036 802.3ad Bond with Cisco3750G over etherchannel LACP

It is balancing properly only on the Tx but on the Rx, you can see the huge difference. I have checked the hashing policies and found them to be OK as the same switch has two other port channels with a cisco switch and the aggregate throughput I am achieving on those port channels is upto 1.6 gigs w...

Re: Mikrotik CCR 1036 802.3ad Bond with Cisco3750G over etherchannel LACP

Thank you. But than is there any way that I can get both the interfaces to traverse traffic so that I can get more than 1 Gig throughput?

Mikrotik CCR 1036 802.3ad Bond with Cisco3750G over etherchannel LACP

Dear All, With reference to the subject, I want assistance in understanding the cause of improper aggregation over a L3 etherchannel between CCR-1036 and Cisco 3750G. I have configured a standard port channel on the cisco switch and followed steps to create a bond on the CCR from the internet. Unfor...
