You can't simply "solder" another connector on the antenna, it will result on a unbalanced antenna impedance.
If you want to use a dual-band antenna, you have to use a diplexer.

V=Volt (potential)
R=Ohm (resistance)
I=Ampere (current)
P=Watt (power)

V=R*I

P=V*I-->R*(I^2)

For Senao: V=3.3 I=1.3, so P=V*I=3.3V*1.3A=4.29W

Senao 8602 Plus (FCC/ETSI) : 3.3V*1.3A=4.29W

Best mPCI b/g for a public hotspot with amplifier?

Hy all. I have a 3W amplifier (802.11b) buyied from HyperlinkTech (USA), and I want to make a public hotspot with a RB112. The problem is: what mPCI should I use? Which is the best for my use? Consider that I have 12m Aircom Plus (-3dB approx) from the RB112 to a omnidirectional antenna, and I'd lik...

[SOLVED]Problem with RB153 + Compact Flash

Hy all, I have a problem with a RB153. I try to expand it with a 512MB kingston Compact Flash Card, but when I insert it on the RB153 slot, I lost all my settings. If i reinsert the settings (wireless mode, IP address, exc...) with the CF inserted, it goes all ok, but when I unplug the RB153 from th...

I don't know, I can't try that setup. But there is an interesting update: Now, all clients are up and running with nstreme! The mistake (but I think that it is a bug on RouterOS) was that all client was setting on "Static WDS" with a static entry for the WDS link from the client to the mai...

In your case you might wanna look at the max-station-count parameter at the wlan1 interface on your primary site "Max-station-count" is on it's default settings: 2007, but the problem still remain...no more of one PtP link with this settings. When another RB112/SR5 try to associate with t...

al clients will work with max ACK time Are you sure? I just controlled the statistic (on "registration" tab) of the two client connected, and the first (30km) reports 266us, the second (60km) reports 377us, so I think that the ack timeout parameter is individual. But I'm perplexed....no o...

Ok HarvSki, but it wasn't my question....I think that it is perfect normally that one miniPCI in nstreme mode can't connect to a client in non-nstreme mode, but my question was another: can I use nstreme in a PtMP environment? I want to connect 3 (or more, but now only 3) site at different distance ...

Ok, but our backbone will not have user, it is only a backbone, only PtP link. I think we'll buy a P4 2.0GHz, 512MB RAM for every repeater, with 3 PCI-miniPCI adapter and 2x SR5 and 1xSR2. I think that the power offered by those P4 will achieve the max bandwidth from those 3 miniPCI...right? Thanks ...

Perfect. I retried this evening. I tried the same 60km link with 5Ghz band (without turbo), nstreme enable, conn-track disable, 2xRB112, 2xSR5, 1x sect.antenna 16dBi, 1x grid antenna 24dBi: 13-14Mbps (UDP receive)!
Thanks

IT's not gonna be higher than app. 3-3,5Mbit :shock: :shock: :shock: We are trying to make a "national OM backbone" here in Italy. We need a lot of bandwidth from one link to another (the repeater will be one RB112 with two SR5, one in "station wds" mode and one in "ap brid...

Hi Mipland Welcome to the forum! Thanks! For better modelling...[CUT] Yes, I know well this fantastic piece of sotware. It gave me the same amount of received signal, and the "freedom" of the first Fresnel zone. I've no idea if there is an ACK timing problem at that distance but I think t...

I've got a similar set-up using 532's and SR5's doing PTP. The cpu is constantly at 30% but bandwidth is decent.
Ok, and...which is your bandwidth?

Ok, thanks for the answer.
So, wich is the minimum hardware (CPU/RAM) to make a powerful link with nstreme enable?
May be a RB532 the solution?

Thanks

Bandwidth capacity of Mikrotik RB112/153

Hy, I'm testing this couple of motherboard from Mikrotik: - RB112 with R52 - RB153 with SR5 and, after read many post in this forum, I decide to made a new one for the following (presumed) problem: I place that board at 10cm one from the other (without antenna, but CCQ give me 80/100 ca, and connect...
