Re: capsman cap no ethernet

Yes you can.
Use station mode on your HAP AC and connect wlan2 to your wifi managed by Capsman...
Then enable CAP on wlan1 and set your Capsman address...
Thank you.

I will preserve.

Understand your tips.

Does anyone know of resources that may be able to guide me?

capsman cap no ethernet

Greetings, I am trying to add a hAP AC lite to and existing installation. I don't have ethernet in this location and want to use wlan1 as the Interface and wlan2 as the Discovery Interface. Is this possible? My Google-Fu is being thwarted by and extremely low signal to noise ratio. Any pointer to th...

Re: CAPsMAN optimisation

Image

Looks much more ordered. Less human readable. This is 4 of the 14 APs.

Is there a way to present/sort this information more clearly?

Re: CAPsMAN optimisation

Why don't you use WinBox Thanks, I will. Just a little concerned that if I delete the interfaces, they won't automatically repopulate. When originally setting CAPsMAN I manually entered the "CAP Interface" data. OR dod you mean delete the "Interface" tab of the "Interface L...

Re: CAPsMAN optimisation

You may need to delete your interfaces
If I delete the interfaces, will they automatically repopulate?

Have spent the last hour trying to edit the
slave-configurations=""
via the terminal.

Thanks.

Upgrade from hAP ac to hEX & hAP ac lite tower & cAP lites

Greetings, Have 100/50 internet connection. Using hAP ac for about 12 months. Once configured it has run perfectly. It will be used in new configuration too. Bought the new hEX so can make use of IPsec Hardware encryption for hopefully faster remote connections and potentially TheDude in the future....

Re: Problem with hAP AC Router

Thanks for bring this info to my attention.

However, my serial starts with 676405. Same issue as above but my serial number appears to be much more recent than quoted range.

Nor sure if I would get different range if returned to vendor.

Anything else I should be looking out for?

Re: Problem with hAP AC Router

Bump.

I am experiencing the exact same issue on a RB962UiGS.

My ISP is wiping their hands of this issue whilst I am pulling my hair out.

Any updates appreciated.

Re: Mikrotik to replace Gargoyle routers

I have made great progress (for me) now that I can maintain MAC access to WinBox. Somehow I have stuffed up my previously working WLAN interfaces. The HaP has wlan1 (2GHz) and wlan2 (5GHz) on by default. I have created Virtual AP (wlan3) on wlan1 that connects to the internet without issue. For some...

Re: Mikrotik to replace Gargoyle routers

First of all, I wouldn't disable the mac-winbox service
Thank you very much. Enabling this service has really helped me troubleshoot without having to restore the configuration every time I stuff up.

I would like to give you reputation points but it appears that I don't have any to give.

Mikrotik to replace Gargoyle routers

Greetings, Have been playing with a hAP ac RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT for about a month. It has been a very steep learning curve. Have 20+ Gargoyle routers and they are getting old and unreliable and they are needing to be replaced more frequently, so looking to migrate to Mikrotik. The main issue I have a...
