I have hijacked routers that can be connected only via MAC Telnet but can't be connected with Winbox. To connect this device in my case I need another ROS device in the same network or some MAC telnet client programm. This is what I'm looking for.If you want Telnet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telnet then use any Telnet client.
If you want MAC Telnet MikroTik RouterOS proprietary protocol https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/MAC_access then use Winbox and type Mikrotik router MAC address https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address in "Connect To".
Dear Sindy, thank you a lot for your lecture, I know that all about 25 years already. I've asked for a MAC telnet application that can be used from Windows computer in the same network of course, of you don't know abt application like this, so you probably can't answer or help meAny MAC telnet client must be in the same LAN like the Mikrotik to which it connects, as it needs to have L2 access. So if your goal is to find an application which can connect remotely, because you want to avoid driving to the site, such application cannot exist. Therefore, a pre-configured small Mikrotik sent by parcel service to the site and connected by a local assistant (who does not need to know the passwords or anything about networking at all) to the network is the maximum you can have. Or a PC with TeamVewer and WinBox, same logistics like in the previous case.
because this is an answer to some another question. I've asked for MAC telnet application for windows. This is quite simple and exact question. Another ROS device IS NOT the Windows application, isn't it? So this is not an answerIn that case, what is wrong about WinBox and another 'Tik? The sole reason why I wrote that "lecture" was that several people have suggested WinBox or another 'Tik as an answer and you accept none of these.
Would be good if it work as a MAC telnet client. Do not see the binary, will try to compile later. Thank you.I'll answer myself, probably because WinBox connects to MAC address if it cannot connect to IP address but not using telnet.
So what about this one? Don't let the name confuse you, it should support telnet as well.
Already. But just now I have got another good answer )So give Sob some sugar (Solved), then you will not get other answers
