@eenpahlefi is obvious, you do not have selected subtree but specific oid

No hints on what devices you both are talking about, on my CCR1036-12G-4S i have same OIDs:

1st / sfp1:
.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.9.1
iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.mikrotik.mikrotikExperimentalModule.mtXRouterOs.mtxrOptical.mtxrOpticalTable.mtxrOpticalTableEntry.mtxrOpticalTxPower.1
.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.10.1
iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.mikrotik.mikrotikExperimentalModule.mtXRouterOs.mtxrOptical.mtxrOpticalTable.mtxrOpticalTableEntry.mtxrOpticalRxPower.1

[...]

4th / sfp4:
.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.9.4
iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.mikrotik.mikrotikExperimentalModule.mtXRouterOs.mtxrOptical.mtxrOpticalTable.mtxrOpticalTableEntry.mtxrOpticalTxPower.4
.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.10.4
iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.mikrotik.mikrotikExperimentalModule.mtXRouterOs.mtxrOptical.mtxrOpticalTable.mtxrOpticalTableEntry.mtxrOpticalRxPower.4

Re: How to obtain on SNMP Optical Tx and RX Power from SFP?

Tue Jul 04, 2023 9:53 pm

Hi,

I know this is set as solved, so sorry for posting it here.

I have a CSS326 running SwOS 2.13 and I queried it like:
/tool snmp-walk <IP-of-the-device> oid=1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1 community=public

Columns: OID, TYPE, VALUE
OID TYPE VALUE
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.3.11.0 integer 600
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.2.25 octet-string Telus
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.2.26 octet-string NASCoxa
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.5.25 gauge 131000
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.5.26 gauge 0
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.6.25 gauge 37
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.6.26 gauge 4294967168
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.7.25 gauge 3300
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.7.26 gauge 0
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.8.25 gauge 9
1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.19.1.1.8.26 gauge 0
Notice how there is no information about TX/RX power (.9 and .10). However, I can see these information in the web console:

I guess the SwOS 2.13 has no such information available via SNMP, but I could not confirm this through my search in Google. Seems like I am the only one who wants to monitor SFP tx/rx using a switch instead of a router :)

Does anyone have any further info?

thanks a lot,
Jose
