Hi guys..

I would like to suggests the following.

When you have a submap and look at the appearance options I've the following options configured as following.

All Unknown: Grey
All UP: Green
Some Partially Down: Yellow
Some Completely Down: Orange
Some Acknowledged: Blue

The reason I don't use red for Some Completely Down is quite simple.
I just don't want the label to turn red when only one of hundreds of devices goes down.
But now I run into several moments this is design is working against me and I think a little adjustment within The Dude would solve an issue I guess more people struggle with.

Please consider to introduce the following option: All completely Down, which you can then adjust to turn red.
In case of a major disruption of services with all devices going down within a certain submap (external location or whatever) the submap label will turn red then, while it's still possible to have other submap labels varying from green to any other state.
I think this could be a great improvement of the Dude.

Another greatly appreciated addition to the ability of Submap label appearance would be the ability to show the state and name of submap's in submap labels.
I mean this:

Main map has 3 Submaps named A, B, C (all for different purposes)
On Submap A, I've got Submap A1, A2 etc, something similar applies to Submap B & C.
On Submap A1 I've got 2 devices.
When a device on Submap A1 goes down, this should make the label of that Submap change into Orange (according to above suggestion). Until here, everything OK.
The change of colour of Submap A1 should make Submap A (it's main map so to speak) turn orange too as it propagates label state upwards in Submap level.
On the main map the state of Submap A should display as Orange.

When all device on a secondary submap go down, the main submap which is parent of the other one should change colour.

When I read all this I hope I made my point clear enough for you, if not, feel free to ask.
I then try to rephrase thing to make it better to understand.

First one would be great for my Dude as well, as when there are submap and one device goes down, submap turns red, which is not too comfortable sometimes.

Did you, or not, understand what I meant with the second part of my post?

I hope I was clear in that part but after re-reading it I doubt it myself..

Bumping this post looking to see if anyone's found a solution to this (monitoring submaps of submaps).
