RouserOS pptp server on routed subnets

Sat Jul 03, 2004 3:15 pm

I have an MikroTik router that runs as PPTP server for the directly attached subnet 192.168.50.0/24. Subnet 192.168.51.0/24 is routed to another MikroTik router ove Atheros wireless link. The IP address used for the pptp server is 192.168.50.2.

Trouble is, clients from 192.168.51.0/24 cannot connect to the PPTP server. The log shows something like

jul/03/2004 11:33:15 PPTP connection established from 192.168.51.254

nothing more.

The setup is pretty generic. It used to be bridging between both subnets, but then both MikroTik routers would randomly crash few times a day.

You should use v2.8 (current)
