SBE / LMC DS3 assistance

Tue Mar 29, 2005 3:53 am

Greetings,
I just purchased my first Mikrotik router a week ago. After talking with Mikrotik at Wisp-NOG about using the SBE / LMC T3 card, I went ahead and purchased the router software and the card. Today I put everything together and started configuring the router.

My problem is that the SBE interface that appears in the router options is only listing 'e1' and 't1' circuit-types. There is no 't3' circuit-type listed that I can pick.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

You could plug it into t3 circuit with default circuit-type setting and it should work.

We have a couple of these cards. One is being used for an AT&T DS3 backhaul and we were able to just "plug&play"...all the default settings worked fine. The Circuit Type is "e1".

This MikroTik router with a SBE DS3 PCI card replaced a Cisco 7204VXR w/NPE400. Other than the lack of BGP features the MikroTik runs circles around the Cisco.

Best,

Brad
