cAPGi-5HaxD2HaxD running under Wave2 CAPSMAN drop connection

Fri Jul 07, 2023 9:44 pm

Have a CCR1009-7G running 7.10.1 running as Wave2 CAPsMAN for 2 x cAPGi-5HaxD2HaxD (7.10.1 as well) but about every 72 hours the cAPGI's drop WiFi connections and IOS/Andriod or Printers start prompting invalid password or other errors, A quick reboot of the cAPGi's causes everything to return to normal.

Running WPA2-PSK and WPA3-PSK along with CCMP encryption, tried turning on CCMP256 but older devices had trouble connecting.

Have two sites running the exact setup and both sites show same issues. Neither CCR1009 show any heavy cpu loads or high memory utilization at time of problem and the Wave2 CAPsMAN shows all interface running normal.

Also one difference I notice between non-Wave2 CAPsMAN and Wave2 CAPsMAN is neither under Wave2 Wireless or Interfaces does it show any traffic statistics for the CAP interfaces.

Well, you've been bitten by the same bug as many others.
Consider upgrading (even temporarily) to beta version 7.11b4 on all related devices.
There is a fix in there specifically for that problem on AX device having IPQ-6010 chip (also AX3 and AX2).
Don't forget capsman manager on CCR, it needs to have the same version.

Traffic statistics are on the "to do" list according to MT staff.
