I have an old rb922 with a faulty ethernet port, but it doesn't matter, I use it via SFP
Can I netinstall via SFP or ethernet is mandatory ?

Most commonly, RouterBOARD devices are able to use Netinstall from their first port (Ether1), or from the port marked with "BOOT".
