problem connection home automation app

Wed Feb 07, 2024 9:24 am

Hello!
I have a problem from a customer regarding the connection of the home automation app.
the customer has a static IP with port forwarding for remote access and has had the wifi programmed at home with a class of IPs different from that of the wired network.
- wired network : 192.168.1.x
- wirelless network : 192.168.88.x [mikrotik cap ac]
he tells me that since he had the parameters of the wifi network changed, the app almost never works if connected to wifi at home.
the customer has an iPhone.
question: if the phone can't connect to the app in wifi mode, shouldn't it automatically try to connect remotely?

Attached is the wifi antenna configuration image

Thank you,Luca.

When i read this, something says me that your app even tries to connect to your wan ip.
If so you should look and enable the function hairpin nat.

the customer says that sometimes the wifi connects and sometimes it doesn't.

the thing I don't understand is that I have a customer with the same type of system, but with a different telephone operator and his app works perfectly in all conditions.

I just can't understand.
