Vlan configuration with trunk port

Thu Feb 15, 2024 5:07 pm

Hello everyone,

I have a cisco switch with a trunk port connected with a mikrotik router on separate locations connected by fiber.
Cisco switch is broadcasting 4 vlans via the fiber which is connected on sfp-port-1 of the mikrotik.
Until now I had bridged the sfp-port-1 with sfp-port-2 and I could see from cisco the devices connected on sfp-port-2 of the mikrotik.

Now I have connected on an ether port of the mikrotik side a local network, which I want to be able to reach from cisco side.
I have added an ip addres from the range of network connected on ether port of mikrotik on cisco side as well.
Now I can reach this IP from cisco side, but I can't reach any other IPs on the network. The mikrotik is able to reach the network with no issues.

I have tried to add the ether port on the same bridge as before, I also tried to add some firewall rules but didn't manage to achieve communication from cisco side to the devices connected on ether port of mikrotik. Do you have any suggestions?

Post configuration of your mikrotik: open terminal window, execute /export file=anynameyouwish (and add hide-sensitive if device is running ROS v6), fetch file to your computer, open it with text editor and copy-paste it inside

environment. Redact any remaining sensitive information (serial number, public IP, wireless password), but definitely leave info about device model and ROS version intact.
