CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe 7.12.1 SFP+ SPF28

Wed Mar 06, 2024 7:23 pm

We have been testing this pcie card which on specs looks fantastic but encountered so far issues with the ROS as the system is lost when upgrading to 7.14 so kept the device at 7.12 and working stable so far. Did some crashes but i think is more related on the SFPs

My questions here is that we want to work one port in SFP+ 10G mode connected to a MikroTik switch SPF+ and the other port on SFP28 connected to a MikroTik SPF28 25G link.

The problem now is that even without enabling the passthrough to the pcie ethernet interfaces when we set manual negotiate on the SFP modules only one of two is working at the same time. Either the SFP28-1 or SFP28-2. We have observed that when we change one of the SFP both go to renegotiate and links goes down.

Does anyone experienced similar issue. Is it not supposed to operate at the same time both SFPs ?

I have the same problem with ROS v7.13.3. When the SFP interfaces are set to different speeds (10G and 25G), only one of them is up at any time.
Restarting (disabling and enabling) the failed interface causes the other, currently active interface to shut down and the previously failed interface to come up.

Both interfaces work only when set to the same speed (10G).
