cAP ac weird firmware version?

Mon May 06, 2024 1:02 am

I have cAP ac that I upgrade via Quick Set section in web interface. That works fine and I get two pieces of data when I click on Check For Update:
Installed version: 7.14
Latest version 7.14.3

So far so good, that makes sense as I know I installed 7.14.

However, in standard WebFig menu, when I go to System->RouterBOARD I get this:
Factory Firmware: 6.43.10
Current Firmware: 6.49.5
Upgrade Firmware: 7.14

Why would current firmware be 6.49.5 when I upgraded it to 7.14 or am I missing something? Should Current Firmware be the same as Installed version and Upgrade Firmware be the same as Latest version?

Thanks,
Bruno

There is a difference between RouterOS and firmware. You upgraded the RouterOS, not the firmware.

Keep RouterOS and firmware the same (especially when switching major versions).
This is done manually (unless configured otherwise).
/system routerboard upgrade
(and reboot afterwards).
