How many clients in a RB133/333/600 with R52 or R52H

Hi, We are developing severals routerboard and we need some advice about how many clients can be connected in those routerboard with those mini pci.

We are are making all our planification calculating 50 clients it´s that ok ?????

it depends on ur traffic.but for best result u can connect client upto 35.

my experience it also depends on what else are you doing on the RB, routing, mangling, firewalling, nating, and the type of users.

Hi, thanks for your reply, the routerboard will be only making Ap-bridge and Mesh with other Routerboard.

My rule of thumb is "30-40 clients per radio". In otherwords, when I get to 30, I start planning for transitioning from omnidirectional to multiple sectors for the site and implement it when the site gets above 35 clients on the omni.

If you have lower bandwidth profiles and no p2p abusers, you could probably get away with 50 users with a profile like 512k/128k; but I wouldn't recommend it.

OK, many thx This routerboard will be using for the OLPC laptops, witch means that the laptops will really have little access to Internet, they may be used to connect to a file server.
