how to forward from PUBLIC interface to LOCAL servers?

Sun Mar 23, 2008 3:38 am

Dear friends, I have several APs working behind a Router OS and I´d like to access them (to http facility)from my WAN (PUBLIC) conection . I believe that is possible to do that using local DNS.
Please let me know how i have to proceed.

Thanks a lot

It is not possible to use the 'local' dns to get you to your AP when you are entering the network from the outside to a single public IP address.

You could (and this I would reccomend) use VPN, and VPN in to your MT router, then you could use the 'local' IP addresses of your APs on any port you desire. Be sure to turn on proxy-arp on the local interface....

It might be possible to also use the MT router's firewall NAT funtion and 'nat' requests to the MT router at specific ports (from the wan) and NAT them to port 80 of the APs in question (on the local LAN).
