Adlist Whitelist

Thu Jul 18, 2024 5:19 pm

Sorry, I'm a beginner and would like some help.
My scenario:
I have a block list on the adlist, but I would like one of the IPs on the network to access one of the sites that is blocked on the adlist, but I couldn't.
I tried to do it via address lists but it didn't work because the adlist blocking isn't allowing it.
Can anyone help me?

Afaik ROS DNS does not support client exclusion for Adlist filter, use some more advanced DNS for such feature like Pi-hole od AdGuard, it is possible to run them in ROS inside container if your device supports containers.
Also you can override DNS IP to some other (1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8,...) for such clients if clients doesn't need to resolve local hosts, either directly on device network settings, or with static DHCP lease with DHCP option code 6, or with hairpin nat...

Would be great to have a Whitelist within the new Adlist feature!

And it should be possible to download the lists to memory or to define the storage space manually.
