Nstreme Dual link with rb333's &v3.2 randomly rebooting

Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:40 pm

I have a nstreme dual link with rb333's on each side which keeps rebooting randomly. The link is tuned in at -69 for each polarity. MT V3.2

I reterminated the ethernet on both ends which seemed to have slowed down the frequency the link reboots. My tower climber said that the weatherproofing on the lmr to the dish looked good. The rb333's are in a nema box 4 feet from the dish.

Here is the configurations:

Tower Side AP:

Client Side Bridge:

Watchguard is disabled but auto generate support is enabled.

The log only shows: 19:00:06 system, error, critical router was rebooted without proper shutdown (cause 1)

The cat5 run is around 75 feet. I have one cat5 pushing the poe to the device and another cat5 which is used for the data. I swapped these cables also.

The one thing I do notice is that cpu sometimes jumps from 4% to 100% but not usually. Usually the link is around 4% cpu when idle and 14% when pushing 20Mbps udp (mt bw test from client to somewhere else on the network).

As far as I know this problem is only at the tower. The client bridge side does reboot once and a while but it is not even near the same times as the ap.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Nstreme Dual link with rb333's &v3.2 randomly rebooting

Hi!

I have same problem. Cat5 is 7 meters long only. PoE injector with 24V 1A PSU. ROS 3.6 on board. Just one card CM9 with single nstreme framer policy - dynamic, framer limit 3200.

I have another rb333 with ROS 3.4 and it's run since 45 days without any issue.

Any help?

[edit]
I just replaced bios from 2.11 to 2.12 and will see.
