Wireless setup

Wed Apr 09, 2008 4:25 pm

Just loaded the new version of Router OS. All I want to accomplish is setting up an AP with eth1 and wlan1 bridged. I am using Winbox. How do I set this up. I cannot find any useful documentation on the website for wireless. Can someone please help with config? My Atheros card does not show up in either interface list either. I have tried several.

Hardware exactly? You can't bridge an interface that doesn't exist...

in the interface menu please check the ethernet and wireless interfaces are listed and enable

if then add ip address to the ethernet and wlan by select the ip\address give desired ip address
then create one more interface (EoIP) by clicking the '+' sign in the interface there

and give me a reply,

Umm, no.

You don't use EoIP to bridge a wireless interface and an ethernet interface.
