Description of the issue:
Since I acquired the RB5009UG+S+ model, I’ve been experiencing reboot-related issues. Sometimes the router reboots normally, but on other occasions, it freezes during the startup process, with only the ether2 light remaining on. To get the router to work again, I have to disconnect the power cable and plug it back in manually.
I’ve heard similar reports about this issue with this model, and some people have suggested fixing the CPU frequency at 1400MHz as a solution. However, in my case, even with this configuration, the problem has persisted since I purchased it.
Steps taken:
Full reset of the device.
Complete reinstallation of the firmware using Netinstall.
Now I’m updating to the latest version of RouterOS (7.16.2) and RouterBOOT, as shown in the image.
None of these steps have resolved the problem. It seems to be a chronic issue with this specific model.
Question:
Has anyone faced something similar or have any ideas on what might be causing this? Is there any definitive solution?
