Hello everyone,
I kindly ask for your help. I have a CCR2116 router that handles routing for over 1000 VLANs and acts as the default gateway for all of them. LACP bonding is set up on the physical interfaces, and all physical interfaces (bonds) are part of the same bridge, with all VLANs configured on this bridge. VLAN filtering and hardware offloading are enabled, and all interfaces are set up as trunks. Port 13 is currently unused.
I need to set up VRRP with another CCR2216, and I'm looking for a way to do this without configuring VRRP on each individual VLAN interface. The only solution I've thought of so far is to connect the two routers via Port 13, set up VRRP on that port, and create a script to disable the bridge during a VRRP backup event.
I'm not entirely sure if this approach will work, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone could confirm whether I'm on the right track or offer alternative suggestions.

To sum what i think: it has a moderate chance of working and a huge probability of failing catastrophically.
A better alternative is to write a script on a computer that will generate the configuration command and to apply them. I can have a look in a couple of days if no one has answered before.
Lastly if you truly have more than 1000 vlan, your vrrp configuration is not your biggest issue.

Oh, that's a typo. There are 100+ vlans, 152 to be exact.
Problem is that a lot of vlans have /28-29 subnets and zero unused ip addresses.

Well, that's a different problem than the one you stated. As Mikrotik cannot own a VRRP IP, for subnets where you don't have 3 IP available (2 devices + 1 virtual), you can't use VRRP.
You can piece together a script that will add/remove IP on VLAN interfaces based on conditions (to be defined), however as I wrote earlier, while this has a modest chance of working, this is likely to create massive issues down the road.
Your best bet is to re-architect your network and add the VRRP as you progress.
