L2TP TUNNEL P2P IP PING STRANGE BEHAVIOR

Wed Dec 04, 2024 8:18 am

Hello good people,
I'm facing a strange problem. My present ROS version is 7.16 (Stable). Today morning I found I cannot ping L2TP P2P IP. While I ping P2P IP, I get strange reply. Getting following reply:
SEQ HOST SIZE TTL TIME STATUS
0 22 (Invalid argument)
1 22 (Invalid argument)
2 22 (Invalid argument)
3 22 (Invalid argument)
4 22 (Invalid argument)
5 22 (Invalid argument)
6 22 (Invalid argument)
7 22 (Invalid argument)
8 22 (Invalid argument)
9 22 (Invalid argument)
10 22 (Invalid argument)
11 22 (Invalid argument)
12 22 (Invalid argument)
13 22 (Invalid argument)
14 22 (Invalid argument)
15 22 (Invalid argument)
16 22 (Invalid argument)
17 22 (Invalid argument)
18 22 (Invalid argument)
19 22 (Invalid argument)

Can anybody help me to resolve the problem. I've searched and found that rebooting router may fix it. But rebooting router is not a solution. Please enligh me how to resolve it.

Thanks to all

Yes. Nothing works. P2P not reachable. After rebooting the router today morning, fixed the issue. But rebooting is not an option especially on busy router. Team Mikrotik should check the issue.

Please post your l2tp, ppp, ip, interface sections configurations without sensitive info, and
/interface/l2tp-client/monitor <num> once
outputs.

Thanks for your reply. After rebooting the router the problem gone. I have no idea how to reproduce the problem. Attached file is current running state screenshot. I'll repost when the problem arise again. Client side ROS version 6.49.17 (Stable)

Thank you
