You didn't provide even one detail, search the internet to see if there is any "fortune teller" available.

no details = no reply

Ask support@mikrotik.com if you do not want share your config and scripts.

Some comments ...
1- this is a USER forum. Users helping other users. MT staff sometimes passes by not everywhere and not all the time.
If you want direct support from Mikrotik, then create support ticket as requested by matiss.
2- erlinden correctly suggests to export your config and post it here MINUS private info if you want help from other users. Then why do you complain about it ? YOU are responsible for filtering out the private parts before you post your config here.
3- If you do not want to show your info here, that's perfectly fine but then you can not really expect help from here. Surely you can understand that ? Then you only get help from Mikrotik support (and that might sometimes take a while).

If you don't publish the content of your script, it will be difficult for them to help you.

Re: executing script from net failed

In fairness to OP, the question was about the log message, not a script error...

In the error message:
"executing script from XXX failed. please check it manually."
the XXX is normally something like "scheduler", "netwatch", etc....

So I too like to know what "from net" service means, since I have no clue where a "net" script might live... Perhaps a config might help... but I have no idea where a script could be that cause the message "from net".

Which is why we need at least some info on what script is running and how.

Otherwise we are all simply guessing.

It looks like a bug IMO, since there is no RouterOS service that run scripts that's called "net".... I just hope OP did attach the supout.rif for Mikroik.

as i posted before there is no script running on my os niether scheuler nor netwatch and not even profiles.

if you tell me about from net i may guess something
net is network?
all my ports are closed i rebooted router and updated to last version but this error occurred again

Although I agree I'm not sure what "net" means – that's not one in docs, google or forum.

But I do think folks would like review your config to double-check — as that the most definitive on what should happen. See:

Log files do show something is running, no ?
And that part is defined ... in your config.

Exactly, the error message tells the story. There is not a "net" service that runs scripts AFAIK, why this one is odd.... Now perhaps the config has something strange, but if MT ask for a case, that's also unusual...

This kind of log entries are vague, as seen here:
viewtopic.php?t=209998
viewtopic.php?t=209998#p1093607

but the Mikrotik support should know what "net" is (or is supposed to be)

I think my grip is forum is beating up OP, when Mikrotik's log message is shitty — these "executing script from XXX failed" should identify what script is at issue... As @optio points out in link above, the "from" is always the network service but "net" is even more vague... At a minimum, the potential "from" should be listed in docs someplace.

@ak313, it would be helpful to post your config still - another set of eyes might help.

I get what you mean but when multiple persons ask you to see config and you persist on not showing it, what sensible person would then keep on asking what might be wrong ? Sorry, but that's a part I don't understand.
Based on a crystal ball, perhaps ?

I agree it's a message I've never seen myself, neither does Google.
But some hint is most likely in that config.

It might even be possible the device is (hopefully not) hacked but also then, we should be able to see it from certain config settings.

I believe it is fair enough to ask what a message on the log is meaning.

The point is that nobody here seemingly knows what it actually means and it is also not documented, so only support may be able to give an answer to this question.

23 other posts (+1) for NOTHING.

Post #3 is still valid, all the other posts are just garbage.

If the user doesn't cooperate, there's no point in wasting time, leave it alone with support.

Well, the 23 added posts did give you a good occasion to show (again) your (usual) grumpiness, so - in some way - they were useful ...

as i understood this error is not related to my scripts triggered via scheduler or net watch or other script-able fields. although i will try give my config for checking after removing some of configs and monitoring occurrence of error

Yes but ROS has binary at path /nova/bin/net, probably script is executed by its process, for which service is unknown... Can be also some exploit, like script being injected into some config value.

unfortunately i can not publish my export file which is 47000 line with my address list . but error is occurring again and it is possibly related to sth of my config. but i do not know where to look for
233 item of 20000 log
strange thing is the random interval between logs i do not see any logic for the times

And how many lines is it without your address list? :?:

Maybe - just maybe - you could replace the address list with a shorter reference *like*:
<imagine here a loooooooong address list>
and post it, I don't think that by doing that you will alter the structure of the configuration in such a way that our resident Mikrotik philologists will be unable to understand it.

Re: executing script from net failed

There are a lot of places script can live (PPP, netwatch, dhcp-client, dhcp-server, mqtt, etc. etc.). The message does mean some script is broken. So million dollar question is there any script that's enabled, someplace – that why everyone want to look at config.

But at some level, I think opening a case with Mikrotik may not be a bad idea (support@mikrotik.com). At minimum, the log message is shitty since "from net" gives no clue as to where to look. So while scouring a config might identify it, the log message should be better in the first place. And, worse case, is the router is compromised somehow. If you do file a ticket, make sure to make a supout.rif using winbox, and attach it the case.
