Dell R610 and x86 RouterOS

Sun Jan 12, 2025 12:26 pm

I installed the latest x86 version on a dell r610, everything works fine, the server has an internet card with four NICs.
When I start it up, everything works, except that the vlan doesn't come out. What's the problem?

Everything works with a physical router, but with x86 it doesn't work.
Need help

I see the other side in the neighbor list that uses vlans, but traffic is not working

Video to problem (sorry for language)

There are a lot of professionals here. Some very helpful but they help in their free time and/or if they want. It's a users' forum for users - kind of neighborly help (sic!).

You might want to post your config. I believe the default configuration is empty, so routing might not work out of the box.

Everything works except VLANs.
Without posting your config nobody will be able to help you. So either post it or, if you know better, go ask help somewhere else (yes, it sounds rude, but that's how it is).

And what will that configuration tell you, sometimes you need to turn on thinking, and not look at the configurations and not see anything there. In addition, the configuration can be very large and complicated And you certainly will not analyze it, so why ask for it.
And now to the point, why does it not work, I will answer, x86 does not see L2 MTU, because it is influenced by the dell board. So, if you use vlans, it will not work with dell x86. Unless you install a mikrotik pcie board, I tried that, but there are still nuances.
