In another post, I started a rather long discussion on routing VLANs with MIkroTik routers. Thanks to the help of those in the forum, particularly Lurker88, I was able to successfully set up VLAN routing. As there are a lot of steps to this and in order to help others, I have put together the attached step by step guide. Using either the web interface or WinBox, anyone should now be able to successfully do the following:
- Set up VLANs on the router
- Create a Trunk and assign VLANs to the trunk
- Create a LAN VLAN and assign it to the ethernet ports
These steps will allow full routing between VLANS on your network.
I hope people find this helpful. Thanks again to Lurker88. Without his help, I would never have figured this out!
