Frequecy Scan to file scan1

Fri Oct 04, 2024 5:32 pm

Hi.
Devices= QRT5 (PTP)
Using superchannel and no country.
Band: 5GHz, Channel Width =20Mhz
Scan List=4920-6100
On Station-Bridge (Far End Antenna) I cannot use "Used Frequency" as it disconnects the link and also I cannot see the result. So I use /interface wireless scan wlan1 rounds=1 save-file=scan1
The scan1 file lists Frequencies only between 4920 and 5380 MHz. It is same for all Mikrotik we use in different locations. My question is why scan1 file doesn't include frequencies beyond 5380MHz. Are there extra parameters?
Thank you

check that in addition to the country you have entered the installation on outdoor to enable the outdoor frequencies

What ROS version ?
There was a change in ROS 7.14 where "no country" results in "Latvia".

Both installation and country is there to comply with regulations.
It has, afaik, nothing to do with scan results.

Is it possible there are no radios in the neighbourhood transmitting at those frequencies?

Any one can help please. After a long wait I haven't seen any logical answer to my question. Mikrotik should itself open a help desk besides the volunteers who enjoy helping Mikrotik users. My question is the same: the command "interface wireless scan wlan1 rounds=1 save-file=scan1" only saves scan results beginning from 4920 and 5380 MHz. There are no other frequencies like 5400-6100 MHz.
Thanks

Can you share the config:
/export hide-sensitive file=anynameyoulike
Remove serial and any other private info, post between code tags by using the </> button.

Furthermore, what is the output of:
/interface wireless info scan-list
Please provide answers to all questions (apart from this post) asked.

Re: Frequecy Scan to file scan1

Tue Feb 04, 2025 3:12 pm

We need something like """freq.usage""" utility that would run and stop after some time automatically after scanlist frequencies are scanned. Also save the result in a file. Right now the freq-usage utility runs on the far-end antenna and the connection to the "far_end" (ptp) antenna is lost and the freq.usage result also not saved. Either it should save or keep the freq_usage result display on screen, stop the scan and restablish the connection with the freq-usage scanned screen. Thanks.
