RB4011 - loose antennae

Sat Jan 22, 2022 4:33 pm

Hello,

Need confirmation from someone with a MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN if the antennae on their router are a bit loose or not.
Have a client I suspect dropped their MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN and now some of the antennae are very loose. So loose that it barely stays upright on its own.
But I do not have any extra MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN laying around to test to test for myself.

Pretty please.

I find the 4011 antennas get pretty loose over time. They don't handle a lot of movement well. I wish they were removable.

Got another RB4011 and the difference is night and day. The antennae are pretty tight.
Got my answer.

I have the same problem. The 4 antennas almost don't hold upright on its own. Any touch => antenna goes right/left. It's very frustrating.
I wonder if there is a way how to open the RB and tighten the antennas? Anyone tried?

Another user with the same Mikrotik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN model and the antennas lost their positional strength within a few months.
I guess there must be a way to open the router as I see on this internet pic.

Does anyone have a way to disassemble the RB4011 ?

Regards.

Thanks sir inteq.
I had seen that video after posting here. I don't know how many of you have the right tools and some tape to fix this issue. Yes, I am going to use the tape so that with just one turn I can give it better support inside the concentric cylinder of each of the antennas.
