We just installed a new x86 box running mikrotik os 3.7 and in the process broke our IP traffic accounting.

We are not receiving accounting information on the bridged interfaces, we are getting traffic info on the routed network. One Port is showing traffic in IP accounting the rest of the ports that are bridged together basically as a switch show nothing.

I just reviewed one of our RB333 Backhauls and we are not getting IP Accounting info on it either, just a simple bridge in, bridge out setup. Connection tracking is turned on on both examples.

Our plan was to use this new box to route the remainder of the network although that may take some time. The simple queues don't seem to show the traffic, torch does however.

The old 2.X units didn't seem to have the problem, we used them for bandwidth control with just two ports bridged.

I found the problem, we need a chapter on bridging in the manual.

Click on Bridge.... Settings.... Use IP Firewall

Problem solved.
