MT to pc direct cable connect

Mon May 02, 2005 2:03 am

I have MT routerboard 44 installed in my MT box. How can I configure the interfaces so that I don't have to use a crossover cable when I am connecting one of the routerboard interfaces directly to another pc interface. I will like to use a straight cable to conecct router to pc. If this can be done, please someone advice.

If not I guess I will use a switch b/t the 2 boxes.

THX in advance

Try forcing the port speed. Sometimes autodetect can cause issues..

Can anyone help out

My routerboard 44 interface have no link light or network connection when I use a straight cable. I taught it supposed to "MDI/X auto-cross/straight cable support"

The interface only works when I use a cross over cable. Is there anyway changes could be made for the straight cable to work.?

THX in advance
