src-address=255.255.255.255 dst-address=0.0.0.0 broadcasting

Sun Jun 29, 2008 9:42 pm

i can seein LAN interface src-address=255.255.255.255 dst-address=0.0.0.0 broadcasting packet which consume much bandwidth. I think my bandwidth performance also reduced with that.
can anyone tell me what type of broadcasting is that and how can i stop it.

it's just a client who hasn't configured an IP. Either setup a DHCP server or instruct your clients how to set up their IPs

that is winbox traffic. use IP to connect instead of MAC address and it will go away.

Hi guys old topic but i am running version long term 6.49.10 and i have the same issue on connections showing around 40kbps every second of traffic

src-addres 0.0.0.0:68 and dst-address 255.255.255.255:67 any ideas where the traffic might be comming from? traffic is UDP shall i just drop it? as is beeing caught by the bogons address-list i have created with 0.0.0.0/8 to drop traffic
