five R52's on one routerboard?

Thu Nov 20, 2008 5:12 am

I was wondering the maximum density you can achieve using R52 and R52H cards (or any suggestions on 'cleaner' cards for 11a use) at 5 ghz. I'm looking to install 5 5ghz links out of the one RB600-based box, 1x40mhz/nstream PTP, 1x20mhz/nstream PTP, 3x20mhz standard sectoral.

Thanks!

i would highly advise not to use rb600 for that much load. have been testing a pair of them in our network and they are continuously locking up on us, cpu is constantly maxed. you will be much better off using 2 rb433ah instead.

I'm interested as well.

I've got 3 RB600's, had issues with one rebooting, works fine after a /system routerboard upgrade
