Routeros restart after 10 min

Sat Nov 29, 2008 12:35 am

I use Mikrotik as PPPoE server (with freeradius) but...

I use 1Gb lan cards, and I think that because of that this happens:

After few minutes, link (to ISP) fall to 0, after few seconds, it back, but problem with memory start. When memory become 0, routeros restart itself.

I think that images are enough.

I use routeros 2.9.27

With routeros 2.9.42 I do not have problems (but also I do not have 1Gb lan cards).

I upgrade it to 2.9.51, but now use 100% CPU.

Here is details:

CPU: Intel 3 GHz
PPPoE 300 tunels

On another MT i have 300-400 PPPoE Tunels, Intel 2GHz with CPU Usage 50%

What is the problem?

Same configuration, but the first one (with 100% cPU usage) have 1GB Lan cards.

don't look at that 100% cpu number. it doesn't mean anything, unless your clients start to complain. it's very imprecise, and we will probably substitute it for something else in future versions

Hi,
I have the same problem.
My pppoe server (on AMD 2000 MHz with memory free 951.0 MiB) goes to 100% cpu load.
With a reboot it goes to 10%. After some day it come back to 100% cpu load!!

Does it's very imprecise yet?
How can I understand the cause of my problem??

Tks
