RB433AH as a switch/bridge

Sun Dec 21, 2008 3:44 pm

I would like to use RouterOS on a stronger server machine, not using the OS from the RouterBoard .. so

Server with RouterOS on it > RouterBoard (only as a switch/bridge) > clients

With this i will save the CPU/Memory usage on the RouterBoard so i can hook up more clients on the base station?

This scenario is possible?

Thanks

Yes, it should work fine. This is a common set up by WISPs.

So....

I have routeros (as pppoe server), RB433AH (as access point). How to "bridge" wireless "incoming" connections to pppoe server?
