What is the difference with "Client Mode" and "AP and Client Mode" on adaptive noise immunity? I switched one of my towers to "AP and Client Mode" and CCQ went way up. Can someone explain what these different settings do?

well this is interesting... if we turn on ANI on mikrotik AP its changed the things so much...previously i was thinking that if u install a mikrotik AP and connects third party CPE it would not improve. bec i thought the CPE must also be a mikrotik, then only ANI works.but u said u got good results on nano too.Actually on this particular tower it helped immensely. There were some Ubiquiti nanostation CPE's that were getting terrible CCQ (2-8) and Pthroughput was around 80k-200k. After changing to Client and AP ANI then CCQ jumped to (50-60) and Pthroughput was around 20000K. Also clients quit dropping constantly.

I didn't had problems with ANI here, only benefits. Anyway, I think the best option is to use it only when needed.I haven't had much luck with API in Client/AP mode. It adds latency and doesn't seem to work that well, makes thing worse if anything. Tried with XR9, SR2, R52, SR9 etc. I would not recommend using it, but in some cases it may work, but normally, I would not use it.
