I sat with same problem today. Used a NS5 and it connected, yet a Mikrotik would not connect. Then reset config on the board I was tryng to connect to, an VOILA, all worked. Although this solved the problem I still do not know the original cause.

@johnD

please am having that problem now and i would apperciate a more explicit discription of what you are talking about.its a 2.4ghz link and its giving me the authentication timeout error i have -71db link and it used to work before until i had a rain and the antenaa got wet. i then remover the 1 watt amp and replaced with a 600mw card after that i still get -71db as signal strength but the connection always fails with authetication timeout.

So when you say reset the other side i woudl like to know if its the AP on the other side of you or the client. I dont think i can reset my AP but am sure i can reset my client.

I would be glad if you can respond soon.(its just a 10km link but i dont have quiet enough clearance)
