Subscription based Access Shaping

Mon Apr 20, 2009 11:35 pm

Hello;
I have two types of clients, Browsers (no access to P2P and Filesharing services) & Downloaders (open season)...

Currently this is un{suck}cessfully managed with Suse and SquidGuard, and my Linux Administrator is never availible when I need him.

Can MikroTik ROS be used to split access to the Net, as in a Whitelist & Blacklist type of config?
Please somebody tell me this is possible :cry:

Thanx
N8

There are many possible scenarios. For example,
*)create two address lists;
*)add firewall rules to block p2p, file sharing etc based on the address lists
