simple queues not managing bandwidth since upgrade

Thu Jun 11, 2009 9:57 pm

hi,

i'm running a routerboard 532a with a level 4 license. i use the "simple queues" section to limit user's bandwidth for uploads and downloads. this was all working very well until i upgraded from 2.09 to 3.24. now no matter what i set in the simple queue screen, all my users are not being limited and have wide open speeds. i checked the changelog for the 3.24 and see nothing that could have interfered with the simple queue bandwidth management i've used for several years now.

i have also tried downgrading the packages but that feature doesn't seem to work. this simple queues feature is the primary reason i use the mikrotik solution, i have three other routerboards and would like to update the packages but can't do so until i know i can still manage bandwidth as i have been.

has anyone seen a similar problem? or does anyone know what is going on and can shed some light on how to restore the bandwidth limiting effects of the simple queues? i'm also submitting with this a screen shot of the current packages.

tia,
dave
